this year’s Chainless Downhill race will be sure to cause some problems. But isn’t that the appeal, the bad boy that you think you can tame. 1,300 feet of pure flow and concentration. Come on, how hard can it be, you don’t even have to pedal. Besides, once you finish, given you’re not the last one down the hill, you can drink celebratory beverages and heckle your brethren as they come screaming into the finish line. See you on Sunday.

We will be offering multiple age divisions in the Sport and Expert divisions! We will have Junior, Senior and Vet options, so there is a greater chance of standing on the podium and getting one of the coveted Chainless DH medals!
Registration and Packet Pickup can be done Friday the 12th from 4pm to 7pm at the Fall River Brewery located at 4001 Eastside Road, Redding, CA 96001 or 8am to 9am on race day.
Once you sign in and grab your race number you can start pedaling up the hill. At the top a professional bike mechanic will remove your chain and bag it for you. Riders meeting will be held at the top of Mule Mt. at 10:50am. Race starts at 11:00am and riders will be sent down in 1 minute increments. Once you have finished your run, your chain will be installed back on your bike.
At the finish you will be fed pizza and cold beverages as you cheer on the rest of the field of competitors.
