The #1 Fundraiser for Redding Trails!

New for 2025

New Short/Beginner course!

The Lemurian Classic has always struggled with offering a true beginner category due to the difficult nature of our trails. So instead we have offered a “Short Course”. We are excited to announce an all new course that is beginner friendly is being offered. We hope this new course will open up the opportunity for more mountains bikers to experience the thrill of racing!

Ebike & Retro Bike Categories!

Yin and yang is a concept that originated in Chinese philosophy, describing an opposite but interconnected, self-perpetuating cycle. Yin and yang can be thought of as complementary and at the same time opposing forces that interact to form a dynamic system in which the whole is greater than the assembled parts and the parts are important for cohesion of the whole. We feel that the use and acceptance of mountain bikes and mountain bikers of all kinds is an important part of making a cohesive race, so we are bringing in the polar opposite racing classes. With Bureau of Land Management finalizing their Regional Management Plan, and officially allowing class 1 Ebikes on their multi-use managed trails, we are able to include this new fangled means of getting rad in the woods in our race! But even something newer than a mountain bike with a motor, is the desire to restore and ride old bikes that have horrible geometry and brakes that don’t work. We didn’t need BLM to finish their RMP to allow us to make this decision, we just needed enough weirdos who want to ride retro bikes, and we think that time is now. So without further ado, we now have an ebike and retro bike class in both men’s and women’s categories. Both classes will be racing the 19 mile sport course. So charge up that battery, or manually lower that seat, and get to ready race!
